Amelia

Amelia
Amelia f
English: probably the result of a cross between the Latin-origin Emilia (see EMILY (SEE Emily)) and the Latinized Germanic AMALIA (SEE Amalia). Its first use seems to have been in the English-speaking world, by Henry Fielding for the heroine of his novel Amelia (1751)
